The walking area immediately starts behind the hotel. The supply ranges over meadows and countries from comfortable, extensive walks with a marvelous view of the Stubaier Glacier Mountains up to hikes in the mountains. Since the winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976 the house mountain of the inhabitants of Igls and Innsbruck, the “Patscherkofel” is internationally known as skiing area. But also in summer, Alpine pasture walks or the wellknown “Zirbenweg trail” are laid out wonderfully, a hiking path with a breathtaking panorama lures all those who like to move in nature.  During high season there are special walking tours free of charge for guests of our house guided by the well known alpine school Innsbruck ASI. For people with less ambition to walk highly up we suggest our guided lantern-lit walk or the sunrise walk.

Many run and Nordic walking paths of all levels of difficulty also lie in front of the hotel door.

Through the new golf course “Olympia Golf of Igls” the village disposes also of a 9 hole course with interesting coaching offers.  The “Pay and play membership” is for everyone, simply pay the green fee and start your play.

The lake “Lansersee” is a little nature bathing lake which is attainable from the Batzenhäusl within a few minutes by car and lies in the middle of prosperous meadows.

The whole city of Innsbruck lies to your feet: Reachable by car in only 10 minutes or with the "Igler", a streetcar (stop in front of the hotel) you may start your visit to our museums, the Innsbruck festival weeks of old music, the splendid “imperial palais” and so called Hofburg, the renaissance castle Ambras and of course to the medieval old town with the known golden roof and nice shopping experience almost immediately
